
On March 31, according to foreign media reports, Boston Dynamics, a company in the field of mobile robots, announced that its latest robot, Stretch, designed for warehouses and distribution centers, is now available for commercial purchase.
Boston Dynamics debuted Stretch in spring 2021, with demonstrations and live demos at the Boston Dynamics booth at Modex 2022, and has been piloted with limited customers in recent months.
Equipped with a compact omnidirectional mobile base, custom-designed lightweight arms, and smart grippers with advanced sensing and control capabilities, Stretch can handle boxes of all types and sizes.
Previously, DHL also announced a $15 million pre-order to further automate North American warehousing through Stretch. Last week, Performance Team – A Maersk Company also announced that it had signed a multi-year agreement with Boston Dynamics to strengthen the company’s warehouse and distribution capabilities.
Foreign media reported that Boston Dynamics is now taking reservations for deliveries in 2023 and 2024 due to strong demand.
