According to official data, Aptera's complete solar kit can charge its battery an additional 64 kilometers per day. At the same time, Aptera's manufacturers also hope that the number will attract commuters. Solar isn't the only fuel source that powers Aptera, though. For longer driving times, it can be charged like a normal electric car. The Aptera's total range when plugged in is about 1,609 kilometers (with the fully upgraded battery pack), or about 402 kilometers (with the base battery pack).
It is worth mentioning that Aptera also showed a camping form to the public. In this form, one can turn the trunk space into a camper's covered tent, and the vehicle itself can double as a solar charging station for the device. In terms of selling price, Apteras starts at $25,900 (approximately RMB 174,760) and is currently available for pre-order through its official website.
