The county said in a statement that the order, which takes effect on February 25, will allow customers to not wear masks if they provide proof of their Covid-19 vaccination or if they have tested negative for Covid-19 within two days.
"As the spread of COVID-19 in the county continues to decrease, it is appropriate to consider reducing associated safety measures," the statement read.
It is reported that many states and local governments in the United States have relaxed their requirements for new crown-related protective measures, and Connecticut and Massachusetts will begin to lift some mask mandates starting on February 28, local time. Washington, D.C. will end mask mandates in schools, and Chicago will end mask mandates in some public spaces.
