Amazon Care
It is understood that Amazon launched AmazonCare as early as 2019 and piloted it among employees in the Seattle headquarters and surrounding areas. Through Amazon Care, users can conduct virtual consultations, enjoy free telehealth consultations, and schedule nurse visits for testing and vaccinations. Since then, Amazon Care has also introduced more primary healthcare services.
It is worth mentioning that Amazon hopes that Amazon Care can combine telemedicine and offline medical care to attract more enterprise customers.
Amazon said it is expanding offline medical services to more cities in the United States. Later this year, the company plans to launch the service in 20 cities including New York, San Francisco, Miami and Chicago.
In June last year, Babak Parviz, Amazon's vice president of Amazon Care, said a number of companies had expressed interest in Amazon's telehealth service.
