Flexible Membrane Switches

The flexible membrane switches is a typical form of membrane switches. It is called flexible because the graphic overlay, circuit spacer and circuit layers are made up of various kinds of flexible plastic materials.

The circuit layer in membrane switch products uses PET material with good electrical performance as the carrier for the circuit diagram. This layer is also divided into metal dome and upper and lower circuits.

Due to the influence of the properties of PET material, the membrane switch assembly has good insulation, heat resistance and bending resistance. The membrane switch circuits, including the inner lines and leading-out lines, are printed with low resistance and conductive coatings cured at a low temperature.

Therefore, the composition of the whole membrane switch has certain flexibility, which is not only suitable for use on a plane surface, but also matched with a curved surface. The leading-out line of the flexible membrane switch is integrated with the switch itself. When making the connection with other electrical components, it is gathered at a certain place and extends outward according to the position specified in the design, to the length at the standard wire distance. It is connected with the female connectors of other components, as a soft, arbitrarily bendable and sealed leading-out line.
