The road to the Emerald City may be immersed in the sea. The crew of the Exploration Vessel Nautilus were studying an area called the Liliʻuokalani Ridge in the Pacific Papahanam Kokea Marine National Monument when they came across a strange-looking feature.
The feature resembles a cobblestone road. Impressed researchers watching live dive footage of the landform describe it as 'yellow brick road' and 'the road to Atlantis', and at It was called weird, cool and crazy in a video released last month.
Nautilus spent most of April studying the geology and biological systems of seamounts, underwater mountains of volcanic origin.
